DeSoto Lions Club
The DeSoto Lions Club meets the 2nd Monday of every month at the DeSoto Village Hall at 7:00 p.m. This organization helps with glasses and hearing aids for the DeSoto Schools, Elderly, Elkville Schools, and Vergennes Schools. They have three fund raisers every year to help raise funds for the blind and hearing impaired.

Masonic Lodge
The DeSoto Masonic Lodge is a fraternity that was started in 1853 and currently has 157 members. Masonry teaches that each person has a responsibility to make things better in the world. Masonry is deeply involved in helping the local community needs, supports the Shriners, and supports the Illinois Masonic Children's home in Murphysboro.
The Masons meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at the lodge located at 107 South Walnut Street @ 7:00 p.m.

DeSoto School Education Foundation Inc.
The DeSoto School Education Foundation, Inc., was established in 1996 to raise funds for the benefit of DeSoto Grade School District 86 students. Funds are used to supplement and enrich educational programs, to provide additional educational opportunities, and to improve facilities. The education foundation is a 501C(3) organization so donations are tax deductible to the extent as allowed by law. Any donations to the Foundation are greatly appreciated.
